OpenVCE

The initial commmunity supported by OpenVCE is the Whole of Society Crises Response (WoSCR) for a global comprehensive approach to crises response. It takes a "whole of society" approach to complex problems seeking to input PMESII factors into the analysis and decison support when a crisis occurs.

PMESII stands for the "Political, Military, Economic, Social, Infrastructure, and Information" considerations involved in crisis and emergency response. More details of the network of international experts in this area is available via this CMU Description of the Community.

As well as the creation of the WoSCR Community of Interest Virtual Colloration Envirionment, other associated work to support the community is underway:

• Complete this questionnaire and sign up to be involved in the community and its information network: CMU Catalyst Project.
• Use of the map of the collaborative social network of WoSCR subject matter experts using techniques from Rob Cross and his colleagues at the University of Virginia.
