These are notes rlated to exploring an evoluton of the OpenVCE.net web poprtal with Inigo (http://www.inigo.net - Dan Frydman).
We have given Inigo some of the core Cognitive Work Analysis (CWA) and Jeff Hansberger's outline designs for the front elements of the site, and explained we want much better workflow related to the Virtual Collaboration Protocol, community and group support and a less clunky way to approach the wiki style collaboratively created content. We also explained about the importance of mobile device access. Dan Frydman at Inigo.net has already mocked up a front page to show us some ideas... http://discover.inigo.net/ovce/
Phase 2a (first 3 months): join OpenVCE.net team, use and analysis of current site, account for user feedback and comments, look at issues arising, explore modules in use, rationalise if possible, explore current issues with wiki, group and mobile access issues, look at CWA and design outlines, consider theme, layout and style sheets for screen, print and mobile, assume Drupal and current logo/colours. Produce report and demonstration fragment of new look site for community and team review.
Phase 2b (1 month): Feedback from community
Phase 2c (following 3 months): Feedback from community, adjustment of proposals, development of new site alongside OpenVCE.net team.
The idea being that the final few months of a phase 2 of the project could then use the site and gain experience with it.
